ROMANS 12:2 “Every temptation begins with a thought. So does every act of goodness. Paul said, "Let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think."
Have you ever heard some say that the most important things in life are the thoughts you choose to think? In many cases, one decision stands between you and a better life. The solution to most of our problems is only one decision away, but making this single decision is sometimes the hardest thing to do.
If this is true, then the most important decision you'll make today is what to think about. You can think thoughts of faith or thoughts of doubt, thoughts of hope or thoughts of despair, thoughts of love or thoughts of hate. These thoughts will find their way into your words and your actions as the day wears on. Thoughts should be tested before they're transmitted, if our thoughts taste unkind, critical or unfair, we should refuse to release them into the dangerous world of words. What are you thinking?
Today, let thoughts of faith, hope and love fill your mind. Make a choice to believe the best about the future God has planned for you. That's faith. Make a choice to expect the best in each situation, because God is at work in the details. That's hope. Make a choice to give the best to those around you, because this is what he has called you to. What are you thinking?
I am thinking of all that enriches my life, and in particular, I am thinking of growing my faith. My faith grows each time I allow myself to fully experience the presence of God. In the holy experience of prayer, I connect with those in my family and community and with those in Silent Unity and other prayer centers around the world. We are a network of people who are turning to God in faith. What are you thinking? My faith in God sustains and uplifts me at all times. In faithfulness, I pray for abundance for myself and all others. Affirming wholeness and strength, I give thanks in advance for right outcomes and guidance. I recognize the love, serenity, and peace of God within all people everywhere. Your life will become what your thoughts make it. Be transformed through the renewing of your mind. What are you thinking today?
